Wangmo is a PhD student in the East Asia-History program. Her research interests lie in the cultural and intellectual history of Tibetan society, with particular attention to questions of modernism and subjectivity. She has conducted research on a range of topics, including intellectual legacy of the Tibetan thinker Gendun Chopel, the history of Kashmiri merchants in Tibet and Tibetan Buddhism in the digital age.
